Frequently Asked Questions

about wedding photography

What is your photography style?

_DSC7406.jpg

In photographing people, I focus on capturing the raw, candid moments and natural connections between people. I am primarily a landscape photographer, so my photographs often have bright and contrasting colors.  Black and white photos are another style that I specialize in, especially with portraits and weddings.

What are print rights?

Print rights allow you to print your photos from any lab of your choice.  It is likely that the lab will ask for a print release from the photographer before you are able to develop photos.   The advantage to owning the print rights to your photos is that you are not limited to order prints and products through myself.

What does “all day shooting” mean?

All day shooting means photos from the bride getting final make-up and hair touches to the grand exit at the end of the night.  By choosing all day shooting, you not only get tons photos from the entire wedding and reception, you are also being sure to not miss the magical moments that happen behind the scenes.  All day is typically 8 hours of on-site shooting and limited to 12 hours of on-site shooting per 24-hour period.

Do you travel outside of Gunnison/Crested Butte?

Yes! I am more than willing to travel where ever you are having your wedding!  Current package rates include travel within Gunnison County.  If required, there will be a fee for hotel and/or air travel.  Contact me and let’s chat!

Do you offer custom packages?

Yes! Do you have something particular in mind or don’t need some aspects of certain packages?  Contact me!  Let’s make the perfect photo package for YOU!

Do I need to provide you with a shot list?

A shot list is preferred for those wanting several specific photos, whether it be a specific pose, location or with certain family members.  I will provide you with a questionnaire that has you list family members and will do my best to ensure they are included in formal photos if no specific shot list is provided.  If you have seen a photo online that you would love to recreate…show me and I will do my best to help recreate the shot and make it even better.
